A steep, direct climb above Llandudno for one of the best sunset views on the Atlantic seaboard.
Little Lion's Head sits between Hout Bay and Llandudno. The path goes up relentlessly from the Suikerbossie side and reaches the summit in under an hour if you are fit.
From the top you get Llandudno and Sandy Bay below, the Twelve Apostles running north, and Hout Bay behind you. It is a favourite for sunset, which means it is also a favourite for descending in the dark — take a headtorch, not a phone.
Short, but genuinely steep. Not one for small children.
